The Swedish Golf Federation enters into a partnership agreement with Business Board – launches a new service for key performance indicator benchmarking.

Business Board was launched in 2021 and has since become a natural part of financial management, reporting, and follow-up for many golf clubs. Nearly a quarter of the country’s golf clubs have already integrated the tool, and the company has now signed its most prestigious agreement to date — together with the Swedish Golf Federation, they will create an innovative benchmarking service.

Business Board, the startup founded by former club managers Linda Nevrén and Eleonore Höglund, is now taking the next step in professionalizing the golf industry. The company is launching a new, powerful key metrics benchmarking module that enables golf clubs to measure and benchmark their financial and statistical KPIs against other clubs across Sweden.

Business Board Launches KPI Benchmarking Feature

The Swedish Golf Federation has entered into a collaboration with Business Board to develop a service that enables golf clubs to benchmark key performance indicators against each other — not only financially, but also demographically.

The foundation of the new tool is Business Board’s database, which connects the clubs’ accounting systems, such as Visma and Fortnox, with playing statistics from GIT. This allows clubs to analyze revenues, costs, and playing patterns within a single system.

“This is a prestige project for us. It is exciting to have been entrusted with developing this service together with the Swedish Golf Federation. It is a milestone for the company and fully aligned with our mission to develop Swedish golf clubs,” says Linda Nevrén, CEO and co-founder of Business Board.

They Leave Their Jobs at Golf Clubs to Build Their Own Startup

This is why Linda is leaving her position as Office Manager at Halmstad Golf Club and Eleonore her role as Club Manager at Tjörns Golf Club.

Today, Business Board is used by 45 golf clubs in Sweden, with pilot clubs in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Spain. The plan is also to expand the service to sports beyond golf.

Their New Business Management System Can Make Golf Clubs More Profitable

Business Board brings together booking statistics from GIT and financial accounting (from, for example, Fort Knox or Visma) in one single system. Based on this data, key performance indicators such as Average Green Fee, RevPATT (Revenue Per Available Tee Time), and CostPATT (Cost per Available Tee Time) are generated. Today, it is still common for golf clubs to enter this type of information manually into Excel spreadsheets.
